Liz Magovern Davis is a dedicated arts and education leader who is passionate about collective impact, strategic partnerships, and curriculum and instruction, with particular interest in arts integration, access and inclusion, and teacher training and professional development. 

Currently, Liz serves as Head of Secondary Curriculum & Partnerships with the Alliance Theatre, where she oversees middle and high school programming offered by the Alliance Theatre Institute.  In this role, she developed and launched several new residency programs (Musical Theater Composition, Strategic Storytelling, Working Parts: Technical Theater) to respond to teachers’ varied needs and more than double the Insitute’s impact in the secondary space.  Additionally, she serves as producer of the annual Palefsky Collision Project. 

Previously, Liz served as Manager of Education Services with the Woodruff Arts Center, expertly leading complex, cross-campus initiatives including the Multi-Visit Program, Educator Conference, Westside Partnership, and Fayette County Schools Partnership.  Her professional background also includes teaching English and Special Education (Friendship Public Charter Schools, Montgomery County Public Schools), as well as experience within the Education Department at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, where she contributed to in-school and extracurricular programs including the Dance Theatre of Harlem Pre-Professional Residency.   

Liz earned degrees from the George Washington University (BA, English) and the University of Maryland, College Park (M.Ed, Secondary Education, English).  She and her husband, Brian, are the proud parents of Riley (age 4), Everett (new to the team), and a rescue labradane named Peach.
